UN IDOP 2024 Vienna: Marginalization of Older Persons in Society – A Significant Health Risk
The Intergovernmental Working Group on older persons is an open ended intergovernmental body. Its primary mandate is to elaborate a comprehensive, internationally legally binding instrument on the human rights of older persons, with the objective of promoting, protecting, and ensuring the full enjoyment of human rights by older persons. This is the first meeting of the working group. The main objective of the organisational session will be to determine and articulate the methods of work of the working group and to define the main elements of a programme of work for its first session.
